Weddings

We are very happy to conduct weddings in our lovely churches. Bermagui can seat between 65-70 people including seats at the back of the church and in the annex. Cobargo can seat over 100 people. The Anglican rule is that the Parish Priest or another Anglican Priest needs to take some part in the service but if you have a particular family friend who wants to marry you that can be accommodated. The Anglican Prayer Book has several options for services or minor adjustments can be made to suit your requirements. It is preferable that the booking be at least six months in advance and at least one interview with the priest is conducted so that all the legal issues can be sorted out.

Baptisms

We baptise both children and adults. We happily Baptise/Christen babies and children by arrangement. We baptise by sprinkling with water not usually by immersion. We prefer to do it in a normal Sunday Service so that the congregation can welcome the baby/child into the Christian Family, but special arrangements can be made. At least one month’s notice is required plus an interview with the priest to make sure that everything is as you want it to be. Family and friends are very welcome.

 

 

Funerals

Funerals can be arranged with local undertakers, who will then liaise with the Priest to arrange a funeral which caters to your family needs, The service will be based on the options in the Anglican Prayer Book but special inclusions can be made. We cannot however do a totally secular service.
